The Club meets at Holy Trinity Church Hall, off Briggate, Knaresborough at 7.30 p.m. on the 4th Wednesday of the month. There is ample parking available near the hall.

By becoming a member of a flower club you are automatically a member of the National Association of Flower Arrangers Society and then of the World Association of Flower arrangers. The NAFAS National Competitions this year are being held in July in Harrogate Conference Centre. The WAFA Show in 2002 will be in Glasgow.

  1. The Club shall meet on the fourth Wednesday of the month, with the exception of December
  2. Subscriptions shall be paid annually, in advance, at the Annual General Meeting.
  3. Visitors may attend meetings for a fee (£3.00)
  4. Applications for membership, resignations and complaints must be made to the Secretary.
  5. The Committee shall be elected by the Club Members. Nominations for election must be received in writing by the Secretary not later than 1st March.
  6. A financial statement shall be available to members once a year
  7. Judging to NAFAS rules (9th Edition 1996).
  8. Niche size at Club Practicals is 32 inches by 22 inches by 22 inches.
  9. Niche optional for Intermediate and Advanced members.

An Exhibit Is:

Composed of natural plant material, with or without accessories, contained within a space as specified in a show schedule.

Backgrounds, bases, containers, drapes, exhibit titles and mechanics may always be included in an exhibit, unless otherwise stated.

More than one placement may always be included, unless otherwise stated.

In all exhibits natural plant material should predominate.
