Grand opening 11am
Maundy Re-enactment 1pm
Knaresborough Maundy presentation 1.40pm
Knaresborough is holding
a Medieval Event on Saturday 3rd April to celebrate the first ever Royal Maundy.
The event will include a re-enactment of the First Royal Maundy at Knaresborough
Castle by King John and
the distribution of the "Knaresborough Maundy" a specially designed
and minted silver coin to thirteen
deserving Knaresborough residents.
The grand opening ceremony
will take place at 11am and exciting demonstrations, medieval games
and entertainments will take place throughout the day.

Our medieval event on Sat 3rd April will have demonstrations of falconry provided by York Falconry
It will also have demonstrations of wood turning using a pole lathe by Richard Law
