KNARESBOROUGH SILVER BAND |
|
Knaresborough Silver Band meet every Tuesday evening at
the Knaresborough Town Association Football Club on Manse Lane.
The main band practice is from 7.30 - 9.30.
Beginners and Training band is from 6.45 - 7.15.
New members at all levels are
always welcome whatever
their ability and complete beginners of any age are
given instruction until they feel confident to join the
main band. Not only is there no charge for instruction
but instruments are provided free of charge too. We are a very much a town band and have many family groups among our members.
The band is twinned with the TSV Band in Bebra, Germany. This is the twin town with Knaresborough and we have had strong links with them for over 20 years. We exchange visits between the two bands every few years. In July 2005 we hosted the TSV band. About 40 band members and their families visited Knaresborough and stayed with members of Knaresborough Silver Band.
If you are a percussionist and would like to join us please contact our Chairperson to arrange a visit. You will be made very welcome. David Tankard(Chairperson) - david@david-pat.freeserve.co.uk |
